Be aware when you are triggered into emotional pain. You do not have to agree with the story your mind will tell you, for it usually is inaccurate and a false solution.

Take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. The mind is the battlefield, and the messages and stories you choose to agree with is a matter of life and death.

You wont know you have a certain thought when you totally believe in that thought or message- driven by the pain body. When you bring an aware presence in- there is a shift from being the thought or feeling to having separation from it. The thought becomes something external to you and you no longer are the thought or subsequent feeling.
